Author Talk
Cynthia Cozette Lee and her sister, Hazel Ann Lee, will talk about their new engaging book that is titled "Bring Faith To Dreams: Black Teens Experience The British Rock Music Invasion". A memoir of music and faith at the Philadelphia City Institute branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, on June 6, at 3:00pm.

Cynthia Cozette Lee will offer her inspiring music for purchase exclusively through her OnNotes 4 Music LLC online store. Cozette is happy to offer her selected flute and vocal scores to the public.


2025
National Flute Association Convention Premieres
Dr. Cynthia Cozette Lee’s award-winning "Nigerian Treasures in 3 Movements for Unaccompanied Flute" performed by flutist, Nathalie Simper.
Cozette’s two J.S. Bach’s transcriptions for flute quartet from The Well-Tempered Clavier Book I - "Prelude XXII in B-flat Minor" and "Fugue I in C-Major" selected by Umoja Flute Institute for open readings.
2024
France Tour of "The Wake" Song
Cynthia Cozette Lee's moving art song for voice and piano titled "The Wake" was chosen by Africa Lyric's Opera to tour 4 French cities of Paris, Montpellier, Montargis and Normandie.
Marshall Opera New York City
Marshall Opera selected Dr. Cynthia Cozette Lee, award-winning composer, to participate in their Composer's Oral History Project. This included an interview and a performance of Cozette's stirring aria "The Martyr" for bass and piano from her one act Civil War Opera Partway To Freedom in concert at the Lincoln Center New York City Public Library for the Performing Arts in the Bruno Walter Auditorium.

Chamber Music America (CMA) highlighted

and asked Dr. Lee to discuss her favorite mentor &
teacher, who was her former Carnegie Mellon
University composition professor, Roland Leich.
The Art of Memorization Panel
Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia
Dr. Lee gave her personal experiences and her useful tips for music memorization with other distinguished panel members with the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia.

"Detroit River Promise" Flute Trio
New York Premiere
Cynthia Cozette Lee's insightful song titled "Detroit River Promise" is a flute trio that was performed in Harlem, New York City by the talented flute trio, Alyssa Mercedes Mena, Blu Akira Shelton and Isabel Serrano in the Sugar Hill Chamber Music Concert Series. This performance was a New York premiere.

"The Wake" Song selected for Africa Lyric's Opera Competition in France
Cynthia Cozette Lee's moving art song, "The Wake", was selected as a required song to be performed by singers in the Africa Lyric's Opera competition.

2022
OperaCréole Concert
Cynthia Cozette Lee's poignant aria "Morning" sung as a duet from her one act opera Adea was performed by OperaCréole for their Women's History Month Concert. Cozette composed the music and libretto to her opera, Adea.
"Detroit River Promise" Flute Trio World Premiere
Cynthia Cozette Lee's uplifting work "Detroit River Promise" flute trio commissioned by Crescendo Detroit was world premiered at the Detroit Concert of Colors program.
"Survival in Time" Poem Published Online
Cynthia Cozette Lee's thoughtful poem titled "Survival in Time" was published by the Canadian online magazine 50-Word Stories.



2021
Peabody Conservatory and Washington National Opera:
Summer Opera Institute
Cynthia Cozette Lee's meaningful aria "Trio On Sadness" from her Adea opera was performed at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and the Washington National Opera: Summer Opera Institute. Cozette composed the music and libretto to her opera, Adea.
